I was born in Alanta in 1993. Since then, I've traveled the country chasing a love of cars and adventure. Somewhere in between, I stopped to get my Bachelor's degree in Writing and Linguistics, graduating from Georgia Southern University in 2015.
My love of photography began with a 2003 Olympus digital camera that my dad, then an early-adopter of digital photography, purchased new. I took that camera with me when we'd take family trips to Chattanooga, Tennessee, Destin, Florida, or when we'd drive across town to the store. This was when I was in middle school, so there were also countless over-saturated, high-contrast selfies taken on that camera as well.
In high school, I took over another one of my dad's camera purchases. This time, it was a Canon 30D, the first DSLR I'd ever used and the same camera body I would use up until fall of 2015, when the shutter gave out during another trip to the Florida Panhandle. Recognizing my love for photography, (and 'borrowing' his cameras) my dad bought me a Canon 60D with a kit lens for Christmas in 2016. Many of the photographs you'll see on this site were taken with that 18-135mm lens and body, but most of the newer images were taken with either a 50mm, which I bought in January 2017 or a rented Canon 70-200mm.
My photography follows my innate love of design, whether that be of cars, cities, buildings, or nature. I strongly admire National Geographic photographers like Joe McNally and Sam Abell, and am also inspired by the contemporary work of automotive photographers DW Burnett, Richard Pardon and Amy Shore. I'm most interested in photographs with motion, emotion and a healthy amount of elements; a lot of my favorite images border on being cluttered.
You can find my work in Points North Atlanta Magazine, a monthly lifestyle publication that highlights the arts, recreation, culture and food of the Atlanta Metro area. I'm also published online at Autoweek Magazine, having covered GridLife and the Petit Le Mans at Road Atlanta. I also run a photography-driven blog on this website.
Feel free to contact me if you're a fellow photographer; I'm always open to making new friends; or if you just want to chat about photography, cars, travel, or anything that might treat your fancy.
